Satya Sound Sculptures, a pantam/handpan construction company from Brazil, was founded in Rio de Janeiro and is now based in Ubatuba, São Paulo.Founded and run by brothers Antonio and Pedro, they have been dedicated to the research and development of unique handpans, all handcrafted, since 2011.Their passion for new techniques and materials led them to be the first company in America to develop stainless steel handpans.

In October 2020, they broke the world record for the number of notes on a handpan with an extraordinary model that contained 28 notes. The instrument, called "Atma Pantam", means "soul" or "higher self" in Sanskrit and embodies the deep spiritual connection of music.

The inspiration for the pantam came from two traditional instruments: the Caribbean steel pan and the Indian ghatam. Satya Sound Sculptures believes that the perfect acoustic setting for the handpan has not yet been achieved, which is why they are working tirelessly on new models and improvements. Their vision is to keep pushing the boundaries of what is possible by creating new handcrafted instruments with love, dedication, passion and above all soul.
